where words hang out

August 12, 2026: Familiar

We pass the same places again and again. Eventually, we stop really seeing them. Yet even the most familiar corner can hold stories, memories, and details we’ve never stopped to consider.

Prompt: Write about a place you pass by often.

You could explore:

  • What you notice
  • How it has changed
  • The people you see there
  • A memory connected to it
  • What you usually overlook

Familiarity can make even interesting things disappear.
